| New recording gear!

Hey, I want to let you all know that I bought new home recording gear! It is very exciting but the learning curve is steep. My intent is to someday be able to record all of my own c.d's. Making a c.d is very costly, and recording engineers earn every dime, a good one is worth it believe me. So I am learning the ropes as an engineer (late nights) and I thought I would share my demos with you as I go, hopefully they will get better and better. (Go to "songs" and check out the "demos") You will hear lots of errors: not staying in time, too much effect, not enough volume, playing errors until I learn how to punch in by myself, etc.
It will be fun for me to view my progress, and I hope some of you get a kick out of the process as well. I hope soon I will get good enough at this as to add the professional tracks that we did with George Winston at Peak Recording in Bozeman. Oh, I am writing all kinds of styles so these demos are not meant to all be "tunesmith" songs, although you may hear an occasional one that will make the next Montana Tunesmith album. Thanks for taking an interest in my music! Tim

Hey-
We have been asked to play our song "One Montana" again this summer with the Billings Symphony. It's a real honor to play with a group of dedicated musicians like these folks. I really get a kick out of playing in front of that group due to the energy that they can produce- it's really a rush. I'll let you know the date on our calendar page. Take it easy, Tim
